Require replacement wheel nuts for Scout

Featured Replies

Some little scrote has stolen a wheel nut from each of my nearside wheels on my Scout.

I noticed it after I drove 120 miles at a fair rate, I suppose I should thank them that they spread the theft over 2 wheels and never just took them off a single wheel, shudder to think what might have happened!

The theft itself could only have occurred in the last 4 weeks after it's last big wash, and it could only have happened when it was parked outside my house in the residents parking area as I never leave it anywhere else long enough for someone to do it without being noticed.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether I should replace like for like or should I go for a locking set seeing as someone has taken an unhealthy interest on the Scout?!?

Seems a little strange.

Can't see it being a personal thing as they would have been better loosening them rather than removing just one.

It doesn't make sense to have 5 locking wheel nuts on each alloy, expensive and a lot of added hassle for the tyre fitter. I'd just put it down to bad luck and keep an eye out for any scroats lurking around at night.

Be careful though, if approached they may try to nut you.

This kind of theft really gets my goat, even more than whole cars being nicked. How chavvy do you have to be to nick £2 worth of wheel nuts.

What kind of weirdo nicks wheel nuts or happens to need two!

Very odd!!!
