yes its dead further inspection reveals cam belt not snapped have found this drained the oil and found nearly 6ltr of oiland diesel there oil and diesel in the turbo pipe and its split the cat as well but why is there diesel in the oil?????

Tandem pump failure or injector "O" ring failure. Have the injectors ever been out?

Is the tandem pump made by LuK or Bosch?

Is your car fitted with a Diesel particle filter, because this could explain the rise in engine oil level and the ruptured cat.

What make of tandem pump is fitted to this engine? The Bosch has an aluminium cover and the LuK a steel cover (when it's not leaking).

A failure mode of this pump is that fuel can get into the vac pump air discharge - which is straight into the crankcase.
