vRS 20,000 mile service

Featured Replies

Car's just had it's 20,000 mile service and like Sharkrider's, my car was fine with only the windscreen wipers needing replacing. All in all, it cost me £240 (£206 without the wipers). Not as cheap but average I'd say. I should be pleased I guess as nothing was wrong with the car.

The man in the showroom was very interested in the RARB and wondered what it was for and how it helped the car. :p I told him and he nodded in approval.

So yes, they didn't care about the RARB and they either didn't detect the remap or like the RARB, they didn't care.

They gave me a lend of a 1.2 TSI Fabia with only 400 miles on the clock too. Interesting experience. Had a few missing toys and had a horrible white main tunnel :S Box was a bit shaky in lower gears too but was a nice motor overall.

glad to hear all is well....

if its mapped I would have suggested to specify NOT to have the software update done, or it'll wipe the map! (unless you have had it done before the map..) they are supposed to check, and do the update for the misfiring problem....

did they do that? you sure you still have all that extra power?

as I said, glad all is well, you are catching me up I think! I'm only on about 21,800 at the moment

I've never had the misfiring problem :S I feel left out.

I don't do as many miles any more. Less commute and less money on petrol :D
