Down dipped position?? Do you mean the main beam isn't working?? Or do you mean they are pointing downwards?

sometimes the motors in the headlight jam, this has happened to me on more than 4 occasions, take the cover off the back of the headlight and try giving the headlight motor a little encouragement see if it moves, eithere that or it may be something as simple as a blown fuse

or the level sensor is knackered.

More of an issue with std l@k Xenons. New beam motor is £35 for std halogen lamp. Would get them checked professionally as they are not cheap units to replace. The spindle worm roller in the motor on one of my std lamps was badly worn and would not move properly in both directions. Sounds like they failed down as a fault has been detected.

Thanks for the reply's I will try and see if I can do anything at the back of the light if not a trip to the local garage to get it sorted....the lights work but no longer rise when I turn them on bit of a pain this time of the year, the main beam points to where the dip use to.

Cheers.
