Accelerator Problem

Featured Replies

Depressed accelerator the other day and instantly thought it felt a little different but wasn't sure if i was imagining it or not. Although the biting points are still there it doesn't seem to be sluggish (maybe fractionally) i get the feeling something is not right.

Here's the thing. The pedal is no longer reaching the button that is right at the back (on the floor behind pedal) that gives that extra power, don't know what the button is referred to as but i think obviously turbo related.

Is it an adjustment issue ?

All advice welcomed.

The button controls the DSG Kickdown - automatically drops a gear or two when yuo floor the pedal.

Are you saying that the pedal is now loose or binding, I have never felt any 'biting points' on my throttle so do not know exactly what you mean.

Can only suggest that the carpet or trim might be restricting the pedal movement or that the pedal might have come loose and moved - check the mounting point.

Guess a tech might be able to offer better advice.

Thanks. I meant kick down points or different levels of acceleration. No obvious signs of problems, mount, carpet issues etc.
