Brake light switch

Featured Replies

Every time it gets cold my brake light switch decides to get stuck on, usually no real problem as i just need to lift the pedal and it goes out. However tonight nowt i did with the pedal helped so took it out and put it back in and it's working again.

Looked in the haynes manual and the picture of the one in there has a plastic knob on the end but mine just has the metal rod sticking out soooo am i missing a knob or don't they come with one?

Hi mate if its anything like my passat did you need to change it out for a new one, my epc and abs light came after a while of my car doing the same as yours and i had no brake lights at all which is major scary when people are screaming up ya butt

Just what happened to mine but could be another issuer

Think it is another issue m8, seems that the plunger isn't connecting at times when it's cold. Doesn't not work just gets stuck on at times. I've given it one ore change before it goes in the bin lol. I'm trying to find out if it's missing the plastic knob thing
