Juddering when pulling away

Featured Replies

Hi,

Looking for a bit of guidance. I've got a 2003 Octavia vrs, with about 110k on the clock. A few days ago, I noticed the car started juddering slowly at low revs when pulling away, whether it's warm or cold. Having read a bit on here, it mentions that it's possibly the Dual Mass Flywheel (unless I'm totally a grabbing the wrong end of the stick). Gearbox seems fine still.

I've read a few bits on the Internet mentioning that people are replacing this with a solid flywheel?

I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to things like this, so am looking for some help because if I can replace it with something other than the DMF then I'll be looking to do this as I've just seen the price of a new DMF,!!!

Or just any help on the best course of action once it's officially diagnosed because like I say, I'm going on what I've read.

Help is massively appreciated.

Mine did it every so often more so in second gear with low revs, disappeared when I changed the dog bone bush might be best trying that first
