Hi all,

I've developed a slight knocking when going over speedbumps or potholes and can hear and feel it in the steering wheel. Its covered by warranties2000 but wondered if this is a common issue and what the knocking noise could be? Im yet to have it checked out by a mechanic.

I've also developed an annoying squeek in the rear suspension (im guessing) everytime i go over speed bumps, is it just a case of getting it greased up or.....??

If it is non-factory warranty then you will be told - its wear & tear ithem. as far as front it might be few possible things: ball-joints, tie-rods but most likely anty-roll bar links/bushes. Those are common to go and create knocking over bumps. Basicly every rubber component that could be gone within time - that will create problem like yours.

Have it checked properly and most likely you will find the reason for this.

Thanks, are the 'ball-joints, tie-rods but most likely anty-roll bar links/bushes' expensive to replace? I thought it wouldnt be covered by the warranty, pointless these non-factory warrantys but i'll double check with them anyways.

Im guessing it would be easyish for a mechanic to know which one of the above was wrong with it, probably by rocking it once on a ramp?
