18" OZ Superleggera's - Matt Black - DISCONTINUED.

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I have a set of 4 18x8J ET51 5x100 OZ Superleggera alloy wheels for sale (you will probably need 10mm-15mm spacers but who doesn't these days).

As some of you may know, these wheels have been discontinued for a long time (try oz's website and you won't find them in fact try anywhere) and they have been replaced by the ultraleggera's.

These weigh a stunning 8kg each! even the Ultraleggera's weigh more than that, approx 8.5 kg's each and T.D Pro Race are about 9 kg's each.

If you are a track person or you want to squeeze out that extra bit of performance from your car, these are definitely for you. Think of it as almost shaving the weight of an extra passenger from your car. Standard LCR alloys for example weigh 18kg each!

They have been sprayed matte blacke. The wheels don't have any kerb rash at all but they do still have some marks as you can see in the pictures. All of the marks can easily be touched up and you would barely be able to notice. Even now you need to get real close up to see. The wheels were originally Gold. For an extra £150 I can have these fully refurbished properly in most colours.

2 of the alloys have matching matte black centre caps and the other 2 don't have any :(

Price wise, I am looking for a reasonable £500. Viewings are welcome and I can send via courier for extra £30. 1 of the alloys has a few more marks than the rest. Pictures are very good so hopefully they will tell their own story.

If these are off a scooby then the centre bore will be too big for a vag car!3

Spigot rings. . . .

+1

All my aftermarket wheels have these

Would love those wheels, but not got the $ emoticon-0106-crying.gif

I am aware spigot rings can be fitted but your going to have to run a hubcentric wheel spacer with these and you try and get one that's scooby centre bore on one side and vag on the other.

Yeah thanks guys, all you would need is spiggot rings.

As for the spacers, I know leon cupra's can run max ET45 so only really need 6mm spacers. Not sure how ET51 would fit without spacers if it was the end of the world or not.

I've run a universal 7mm spacer before and it didn't need to match the centre bore. Simply sat on and around the pcd pattern.

The spacers cost me £5 for a pair

If from a scoboy the centre bore will be 56mm so you actually need to lathe out 1mm from the alloys to make them fit. I looked into getting some of those 17" gold scooby ultraleggera rims, but the lathe work needed to turn the 56mm centre bore into the 57mm centre bore put me off.

Ok thanks, I'll look into and measure the centre bore. If that's the case, I'll target these alloys towards Scuby buyers as that's a bit too much headache.

Cheers.

Unfortunately ur right.centre bore is only 56.1mm.will drop price to £400 or try my luck with scuby peeps

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I am wearing my "been there, done that" T-shirt. ;)

Can get access to lathe, just cann't get access to £400 emoticon-0106-crying.gifemoticon-0106-crying.gif

Yeah as per my previous posts those that know what I know and do with wheels will know I know what I'm on about

It can be done, I've had a set of speed line reps bored out before to accept a hubcentric spacer set and then spigot ringed the back of the spacer

That's the only safe way of doing it. 6mm on universal spacers is just crazy IMO

What's the average cost of lathing out the bores by 1mm on each?

I have put the set on ebay now at £480, watchers are fast growing so maybe £400 is under priced.

Dude if you target scooby owners there worth a hell of a lot more. I had super legs on my car a while back and they are on an s3 just now. Amazingly light wheel and a great looking wheel.

I've never had to pay for machining of a centre bore cause it's either done at my mates company who are the lenso importer for uk or the set that were done on the s lines were done by A1 wheels in Wolverhampton as a favour but thinking back I think he said its about £30 a wheel.
