mk 2 octavia diesel mod problem

Featured Replies

hi all. i have a 59 plate 1.9tdi se octavia hatch from new and i am looking to do a few mods to it. i have an induction kit to put on but i cant do it! now i know you are all going to say 'its a diesel whats the point' but i am not after the bhp or i would get it mapped. i just want a bit more noise when driving around.

normally you just remove the air box and fasten the cone onto the exposed intake pipe with a jubilee clip. however on my mk 2 the intake pipe isnt circular for one and for 2 it houses the air mass meter.

my question is how do i fit this mod? has anyone done it or isnt it even possible?

i am not the most technical of people but i know that i just cant remove the mass meter as the computer will pick this up. i cant just saw through the intake pipe between the mass meter and the box as the pipe isnt circular there.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh - its driving me mad, please help!

i am in manchester if anyone is close and knows what they are doing. i will supply lunch if you want to help me out!!

You are more likely to get a relevant reply if you post this in the Octavia Section.

And welcome, by the way/
