Central locking keeps trying to unlock

Featured Replies

I drove to work this morning in very heavy rain, including driving through some deep (not very deep) water.

I drive over the moors and it's difficult to see some of the standing water at times in the dips.

When I unlocked the car after work the doors unlocked but with the doors shut the central locking kept unlocking the doors.

It stopped and I drove off only for the process to keep repeating periodically all the way home. At home the doors locked as normal and stayed locked.

I'm assuming water has got into the system somewhere and I hope it only needs to dry out :(

Either that or water in the door loom

Thanks for the replies. I never use the door lock, always remote locking/unlocking with the key fob. I've given the lock a good spray with Plus Gas for now, WD40 tomorrow just to be on the safe side.

Everything so OK for now.

I never use the key either but my lock was all bunged up, it was worth it to take barrel out to give it a good clean.
