VCDS buying advice

Hi,

am looking to buy VCDS but cant really afford to go for the genuine package.

Has anyone any experience with aftermarket versions. Do they work or should I steer clear?

Have seen a few advertised online but no real info on them.

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. That went well and it came to my place this last weekend. Early 2012, 1.2 TSI, 5sp manual, 158k miles on the clock. This is it, just after being washed. 65 Reg Octavia estate All my other windows work ok but on the driver's door window I have to hold down the button until the window is fully open. A quick press of the button closes it just fine but opening is the problem. There's no info in the manual that helps I can't help thinking I've had this problem before and somehow solved the problem but I can't remember how. My online research suggested holding the button down until it opened fully and continue holding for a few seconds, then closi

Hi, Not having much joy resolving my ABS issues. SKODA SUPERB (3V3) 2.0 TDI (110 kW / 150 hp), 2016, 150K miles ABS issues started with poor battery on start, battery has been replaced and coded, issue remains. Can see issue is with rear left, on my reader due to wheel speed being 1/3 the other wheels. Fault would appear after 25 meters of driving. Replaced rear left sensor and wheel bearing (magnetic ring mostly disintegrated). Now 0 wheel speed on rear left. 10.5 volts on FL, RR and RL

Hi, The boot release switch in the tailgate keeps getting stuck. I've tried blowing it out with compressed air etc but have just purchased this part.
