Hello

Have just bough an Octavia Estate 2005 05 plate. It's a 1.9TDi Elegance.

Was a problem with retractable rear parcel shelf when bought and now faced with fixing it.

Have got to the stage where 1 end cap is removed (the non-spindle one) and am able to wind up roller to reload it.

Is it possible to some how then get the 2nd end cap on without the roller unwinding in the meantime?

Feels so close to being fixed but not the faintest idea how to complete this step, if at all possible.

Any help appreciated.

If you try posting this in the Octavia forum you'll get a better response I'd imagine. Not sure if it's a mark I or II, so you'll need to choose that yourself.
