rear subframe/suspension

Featured Replies

Does anybody know would the complete rear subframe/suspension from a MK5 Golf GTI transplant directly into a 2006 Octavia ???

I bought a complete replacement for my octavia and did start to look into whether it was possible to fit the golf rear subframe as the chassis is the same but there is an extension added on the rear of the octavia for the boot. I could find very little info on it and found an octavia one for £80 in the end so didnt look anymore. Most of the components are the same but the actual subframe might have different mounting points so that would be the part i would check the part numbers on.

I have the ETKA parts but no longer have a pc on Win XP in order to run it so cant check the part numbers :(, been trying to find out if the front hub is the same on other VAG models myself but cant confirm fitment on the 2.0 TSI only the FSI :(

Sorry cant be of more help mate

My car has very high mileage and the rear needs a full overhaul (bushes etc) I have an opportunity to buy suspension or anything else from a GTI thats been broken because of interior fire damage, is there anything else anybody can think of that might be useful to me ???

Could fit the full suspension from it mate if its cheap enough and the mileage is low and also the anti roll bars, but depends on what u want from the car as handling will be improved but comfort reduced. Are the brakes 312mm on your elegance or 288mm as the golf is 312mm

This one on ebay is cheap especially if your willing to collect it. Item number: 200699319021

States the main part number aswell so might be worth giving skoda a ring and just ask the parts depart for the rear subframe part number and happy days if its right

I have already upgraded my brakes to 312mm fronts. My car has "sports" suspension from the factory but the rear is in awful need of an overhaul. If I could drop the whole rear subframe from the Golf and transplant it onto my car.

Yea I get what your after mate and so if they are the same then drop the old and refit the new. Then get alignment job done. You will have to see if those subframe part numbers match
