Out of curiosity more than anything this one.

On the underside of the parcel shelf of my saloon I have a little grey plastic thing attached (I'll add a photo as soon as my wife brings the car home).

It appears a bit like a three pronged attachment - almost as though something ought to slot into it.

Anyone any ideas?

Is it a clip to hook the handle for the boot floor onto? So you can get the spare wheel out/access the tools?

maybe for a warning triangle???

or to hold the noot carpet up ?
