Parking sensors

Featured Replies

I was just wondering what you guys thought were the best ones or if you can retrofit as the vrs had optional ones

You just missed Clive giving away his ones in another thread!

You can buy silver ones off of ebay which I've got fitted on my Felicia and a mate has yellow versions fitted on his Yellow Octy VRS which look exactly like the OEM ones (although the beeper doesn't make the same noise as the OEM one)

If you take the rear bumper off there are marks on the inside where to drill the holes for the sensors and the wiring is pretty straightforward, you just wire them in to the reversing light wiring and mount the beeper in the B pillar.

I have fitted 3 different types to date

1/ cheap and cheerful eBay kit - worked perfectly but the sensors were a bit bulky IMO

2/ Parking Dynamics PD1 'no holes' parking sensors - complete wasted of time when it is raining as there is far too much interferance, would NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone, the idea is great, but in practise too unreliable

3/ Cobra - without doubt the best I have fitted so far, yes they are dearer than some of the others but the sensors sit almost flush with the bumper and they look almost OE

The Parking Dynamics kit is due to replaced with an OE Skoda kit when the weather improves.
