Hello Briskodians,

I have a Felicia 1.3 and intend on getting a new Skoda in the next few months. I live down here in Greece and the the prices are :

Octavia 1.8 T 18.990euro

Octavia 1.8 RS 22.790euro

Superb 1.8 T 21.990

The thing is, I am mainly concerned in the engine and total quality and reliability etc. and not if the car has electric rear windows or not, so I'm going for the base model.

Now, what exactly is the difference between the 1.8t and the RS besides the obvious (brakes,shocks/springs,ECU,minor interior differences) ?

Actually, I think I like the simple look of the 1.8T and would prefer choosing my own set of wheels, and I think I would lower the RS I little bit more anyway.

As for the Superb, it's a nice big car with the 1.8T, and it looks better quality than the slightly aging Octavia.Good price too.

I think you've kinda answered your own question really!

If gadgets aren't essential then go for the 1.8T base Octy. Looks more stealthy, and you can spend the money you save on your mods!

Even the bottom of the range Superb has lots of toys , and if you are going to change the wheels anyway it doesn't matter that it comes with steel ones as standard.

I like the idea of a nice big fast Superb
