The tempramental central locking is working this morning ( apart from the boot lock ) , but something even stranger has come to light. My other car is a 58 reg OCT vrs. My Wife went out to it this morning and operated the key-fob to find that it not only operated the locking on its own car ( vrs ) but it worked the locking on the old 02 plate too. She mentioned last week that she thought it was doing this but i ignored her thinking she was on funny pils! I was wrong and i appologise. Many thanks guys for your ideas to remedy the problem but i recon its too deep seated for me to fix so its off next week to the Skoda dealership (ouch) to be revitalised.

I believe that if you unlock both cars simultaneoulsy or something like that you can pair an extra key to the car. This has come up before try searching for it.

That sounds a bit weird!

I think someone managed to get it so that everytime they unlocked their car the golf across the road unlocked itself.

Obviously you can't start the car or anything, just lock and unlock it.

I have a octavia and a seat leon so I have made a point of never pressing both remotes at the same time, just in case.

Remote key fobs have been known to clone each other if kept on the same key bunch!
