" " 2.I have seen the door and bumper strips colour coded but what about carbon wrap?

" " 3.If i was to remove the door strips would it look stupid or not and is it easy ?

Cheers in Advance !

The risk is if you remove the side door rub strips you take some of the paint with it or the colour is different underneath. Carbon wrap sounds interesting, not sure how youd do that in situ though without some very careful scalpel action.

Hence why mine are staying on! Just back to black em now and again with trim gel keeps em looking new.

i think it would look all too much wrapped but its all personal opinion. The grille has been done before and looked ok but again depends on your personal taste and colour of the car.

Ive seen a few with colour coded side trims but i didnt like it

I prob will get the grill done as my car is black , prob wont take strips off but am tempted to get them colour coded as there all faded .

just wanted to get different opinions

Did my grill black (red car) and removed the door strips. Took a while with plenty of patience but look 100 times better., smooths things up a bit. Even to colour code them they'll have to come off so you can decide then

Plasti-dip could be an option if you want an 'easier' fix to silver grill and dull rubbing strips

Colour-coding the rubbing strips look good too, but the rubbing strips don't take paint very well

Colour-coded rubbing strips with paint flecks look worse than dull black/grey rubbing strips.

Yeah not a fan of the colour coded. Buy some bumper gel and itll work fine. I actually use Meguiars Endurance tyre gel on mine worked in with a cloth. Makes them look like new.

The door strips will come back up as new, it is the weathering on the surface that just needs a good treatment on trim renovated, as mentioned.

Here is mine carbon wrapped along with the skoda badge
