I hope Skoda never do this to a Yeti!

Featured Replies

That's bad, but then I looked for a picture of the Murano CC they mention and that IS horrific! I am not a convertible liker though.

Looks like a kid's buggy.....

Well at least you can use the rear view mirror now

That is stunningly good.

Thanks for posting the link.

I agree about not doing it to the Yeti but I have to say, I quite like that! I bet it would look better in the metal than in the photo also.

I also quite like it. Not sure what a Yeti would look like though.

I saw a Golf mk6 convertible yesterday. Not convinced.

There was an open top Yeti concept in 2006

So you can not be sure, although I doubt VW would wear it :wonder:

It is such a pity skoda didn't bring out this car.  I would even change my (very nice) superb for it!

Much more beautiful (and dependable) than a Citroën Mehari  and by far the most remarkable skoda design  (nicer than the Citijet) (I also really liked the Skoda Octavia designed by Dirk Van Braeckel)

I'm sure it would be a big succes in Mediterranean countries like Spain, Italy and Greece where Skoda's are very well accepted.

I also really like the new skoda design !

Such a pity they don't have an attractive 4x4 cabrio...

I sat in an Evoque convertible at the London Boat Show on Sunday where there were a few on display. It's basically the three-door Evoque with a fabric roof of course and is beautifully made.

I quite liked it, though it is a very silly car in many ways. It's one of those that you look at and think I'd never buy one in practice but secretly would love to have one.

I am actually thinking about getting a car to keep at my second home in Mallorca so did have fantasies about driving it round the wonderful roads there...

However, it is quite small inside so it wouldn't be great for airport runs. It'll be a few years to retirement before I'll actually buy a car for Mallorca so a secondhand one, ten years old, could be quite attractive...

(I also sat in a standard Evoque and it confirmed that I've made the right choice with my Yeti - that version cost £50k and I really didn't like the feel sitting inside it compared to the £24k Yeti, it's really small inside).

It's interesting that (anecdotally) the UK buys more convertible cars each year than Italy, Spain and Portugal put together........   !

So the Evoke Cabrio should sell well here!

Our summers are perfect. Warm enough to be nice with the roof down but not too warm or humid that you just want to get into your car and HAVE to have the AC on at full blast to just survive - as you would on a typical 40 degree day in Madrid for example. So not too difficult to understand why we buy more convertibles in the UK.

Not too difficult for you Johann, but it seems to be beyond Skoda's understanding :notme:
