seriously like the idea of black octy 17 spiders on mine buit dont want to loose too much performance - I understand the extra weight will affect standard spec but hoping it won't be as noticable with the extra power

anyone have them on remapped or stage 2 and how much did you notice a difference

Not any real difference tbh as the rolling radius hardly changes

As above, use 40 profile tyres compared to 45 and it's near enough the same

no problems mate, only thing i found was that my speedo is now spot on with my sat nav speed lol

is that with 205 40 or 215 40?

I wanna do this too but on a totally std car, mainly as I have the rims already.

The difference I found was in mpg. Must have decreased by about 3-5mpg on a normal run.

205's or 215's its not really important...

Octy wheels are 7" wide so 205/40's would probably be the best choice

Other vag 17's such as s3 wheels, audi tt comps or 6 spokes are 7 1/2" wide so would look better on 215/40's
