About to order a Superb

Hi all.

Joined this forum as I'm about to order a Superb. Probably be the estate Tdi 4x4 Elegance, and if I can get the right deal on the trade in maybe even the L&K pack. Any advice on the deals going, and order lead times would be appreciated.

I had a Superb saloon last year and I've had various Skodas over the years and love them, but they have all been short term leases (6 months) and therefore not 'my' car.

I do have a bit of a car problem, as I run several other cars too.

Welcome lowedb - 4x4 Elegance is a good choice of car, presumably in 170 guise? Will this be manual or DSG?

Thanks for the welcome. It will be the 170 so not available as DSG I don't think. I would like DSG (as I have it on another car) but the benefit of the 4x4 that I felt when I had my Superb last year mean it's more important and I do like the 'go' of the 170 engine having had it in several of the group Brands over the last few years.

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just

Hi. Can someone send me an aliexpress/ Amazon link or OEM part number for the correct plastic door card trim fittings please? I broke a couple when fitting my speakers and there were enough left intact to put the door card back on but I’m planning on removing the door cards again for an upcoming project so it would be handy to have a few spare to replace the missing ones and just in case some more go. Thanks!

Hello there, I finally traded in my beloved 2016 Superb Estate for an SE L IV 1.5 Tsi, (with sunroof, family pack and winter pack (for my arthritic hands which weren’t an issue in 2016 (the car has aged better than me!) Ordered in London in mid April I I was told today car has just been built, and I should receive it some time in July. My first Phev Hoping there won’t be too many delays🙏 Really looking forward to my new car, although will be sad to say goodbye to the old one…. best car I ever

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature?
