When i part ex my 2011 fabia elegance, I took all the led lights and refitted the original lamps. All lights were the error free lamps and nothing came up on the fabia maxidot. I fitted the LEDs inside the new octy and on the rear number plate. Last night I had the light out symbol appear and it said check rear plate but both lights working. My question is. Has the octy got a more advance canbus system than the fabia. I have the xenons upgrade which are great but am I right in saying the main beam lamp is a standard h1 halogen lamp as I looking to change it to a xenon filled lamp. Thanks

The FL Octavia has a more sensitive fault monitoring for bulb circuits. I got round mine by soldering a standard lamp on to the back of one of the LED lights.

You can't see it once it's fitted inside the tailgate. Not sure about the headlamps.

Yes the FL has a different set up. The pre FL can take these LED,s without giving an error as many on here have already done.
