does octavia vrs have an oem crossover?

Hi,

Does the mk1 Octavia VRS have a crossover fitted as oem equipment?. I am thinking of upgrading to a set of Alpine SXE-1750S components, which they say are a direct replacement to the standard speaker and tweeter.

The only thing is they do not mention a crossover in the list of contents with the speakers, do I assume the car already has them fitted then?.

no they dont, not like the cross overs that you will get with a proper component speaker setup.

How do they run the tweeters on the standard setup?, do they just piggyback the wiring from the lower door component and let the frequencies take care of themselves or do they use a crude imitation? - Haynes book of lies seems to think it is the former method.Do you know if Alpine do crossovers as an accessory to fit with the components at all?.Thanks
