Skoda dealers..or lack of!

Featured Replies

Someone made a post about how common skodas were becoming.Too many vRS's to bother posting 'was it you' etc The same is pretty true for me.I virtually live in 'skodaland' where every other car is a fabia, octavia or superb.

I think one big reason is obviously the dealership nearby. The same applied to the another town nearby which had a dealership (that closed down). The place was full of skodas as were the surrounding areas.

It just seems to me that they could do with a few more dealerships.Even if people are told the cars keep winning 'what car awards' (amongst other things) they won't bother going to have a look if the nearest garage is 50 miles away. They will go to the local ford/vauxhall dealer and buy one of those.

I must say,if I hadn't had a dealership nearby I wouldn,t be driving a skoda now.I would be in another Audi or at worst VW.

It would be hilariously entertaining (and I know it will never ever ever happen)to see who sold the most cars if skoda and VW were under the same roof albeit seperate.Laid back friendly skoda dealers with top cars operating against iffy VW salesmen with the same cars but

cant say there are many Skoda around my way I've only ever seen 5 fabia vrs around my way 2 of which where the dealers cars octi's are alittle more common but then they have been out longer.

When looking for a replacement to the dire Pug 206 VW golf was a choice, though the salesman in VW never came back to me or followed up in anyway, I'd be damned if I'm going to hound them for a car!

Skoda on the other hand couldn't be more helpful as was seat. Also Audi I found more open and friendly

VW just suck really

I am still waiting to see other skoda's round by me I live in Birmingham but dont see any on my short trip to work and back :(

When I purchased both of my Skoda vRS's i got them from a dealer in Alcester not the one in Birmingham

This was one of the reasons I have changed to a vauxhall corsa..:Yikes: the nearest skoda dealer was useless and the only other one had moved to halesowen. I have a vauxhall dealer 5 min walk away.

Also I didnt see the point of changing to another fabia the same and it costing me an extra

I live in Stourbridge, so i had the choice of buying another Peugeot, a Rover, a Vauxhall or a Ford, but i decided that i wanted the Fabia vRS and got it from a garage just outside of Kidderminster. It was either there or the garage in Halesowen and i just found the staff at the Kiddy one more friendly.

Can't say as i've seen that many vRS's around, not even on my weekend trips up to Leicester.
