Spec: Motech Performance X-Map - Stage 1

Neuspeed Intake

Forge 007P

Cruise control

Rear Whiteline ARB

Magnex catback stainless exhaust

Forge carbon engine cover

Black front grille

First thing I did when I got it:

Satin black grille first.

Then a few months after I got it I took it on a massive Europe road trip and thought some humerous stickers would be a good start!

And put my smoked plates on to avoid those french/german speed cameras! :giggle: Not long after this i managed to get 150mph out of it on the Autobahn which was darn impressive.

Then since then its been a case of using it daily!

Did a ton of cleaning and polishing this week so this is how she stands now.

Then added a pasty boy badge and went to a gloss black grille instead. 7029814129_f65f06e196_b.jpg

As well as that added some more to the wheel badges!

Just one that I liked:

Super pro steering rack bush, ARB bushes and Dogbone bush

And lastly some new wheels I hope.

Hope you like. :)

Love the shark stickers! Looks lovely. Dibs on your wheels if they go!

Some updates!

Got myself the spiders painted Anthracite, quite a dark one. Does the black justice and keeps the stealth look!

I think the next thing on the list is to get it down a couple of inches! Not sure what coilovers to go for though...

Also have a 2.5" decat downpipe to go on too so it'll be very nearly ready for Stage 2 mapping. Just got the TIP to get, probably gonna go for a SFS big one. I've also lined up a set of Mk4 Golf Recaros to go into the car as well as soon as I can get them picked up. So lots of plans, just finding the time and the money to get it all done!

I try to give it a good life! Serviced every 6k, FSH before I got it and I've carried it on. Only ever use VAG genuine parts too.

It does get some abuse though, but thats what anyone would buy a VRS for! Just needs the suspension doing and getting to stage 2 and I think i'll be happy...for a while.

Prosports are well worth it for what they cost. I don't plan on going any lower than mine is now and it's very complacent, will be even better when I get a RARB fitted :)

The rear arb is the best bit mate. Mine hangs on forever with the pair of neuspeeds.

Will give the prosports some thought then.

Interior is getting a mop up today so hopefully will be pretty much mint in there!

prosports deffo worth a go dude  mine are sitting on thier arse and still ride very well!

oh and btw looks freaking awesome!!!!

Cheers mate!

Just needs to go down an inch. I think I need to sort a passenger ride in someone's car with the prosports. I've done budget coils before and wished I'd got proper ones after a few months.

My first Corrado was rock hard with them on.

Where are you based, Jonneh?

  • 2 weeks later...

Car looking tidy.

I wish I had taken a passenger ride in a Octy before I bought the kw v1.

The coilovers are a little harsh for my liking.

Have to agree with skud on this one!

Definatly take a passenger ride before getting coilovers!

I kinda fooled myself into thinking they wouldn't be too bad and probably when you think about what they are then they are probably not that bad!

But at times they are abit harsh for me(well not me but when you have family as passengers, just feel a little awkward), if cheaper uprated shocks were available then i would switch to them and H&R springs as ive not slammed the car on them anyway.

Car is looking tidy though, wish mine was as shiny!!!!

I'm based in Ilkley mate, West Yorkshire. Between Leeds and Skipton basically.

I've only heard good things about the V1s! Those were the ones I was going to be saving for. It was either those, AP's or Weitecs.

I've owned/been in loads of cars with coilovers so it doesn't bother me about it being a bit stiff. Its just if its flipping terrible like I've had cheapo ebay coils before and as low as I wanted them the ride was a bit ****. Hottuning they were called, pretty similar in design to all the Prosport type ones.

Its a tidy car, just there are some silly bits that need sorting, couple of dents that hide quite well and it needs the front bumper painting as its rather stone chipped.

On a modifications update, i've now got my Mk4 Recaro Leather interior in it. Fits perfectly, no gaps or anything weird. Next up is getting the 6 speed box in!

Will get some more pics up later.

Next time your down visiting your relatives pop me a PM across and ill take you for a spin so you can see what the Prosports are like :)

Cheers, I will mate! Nice one. :)

So some pictures of the new interior! Well impressed with it, and massive bonus is the seat belt bonger is now well and truly gone! Haha! But they're ten times better than the VRS interior anyway.

Rear centre seat has just got a lapbelt now but it never gets used so not bothered. Plus the middle seat is also an armrest with some hidden storage so another bonus!

The front seats have all the appropriate fittings and fitments to get them heated as well. Will just need to sort the loom for the car, most likely a Kufatec one. so if anyone has a heated seat switch for a Mk1 Octy give me a shout!

Guy was selling one in FS section, wasn't cheap though... £100 odd!!

  • Author

For a flipping switch?! Bloomin' 'eck! Sounds like its going to be a pipe dream for a while then! Its around £100 for the loom too. Just for a warm ar*e! Haha.
