Hi all.

I bought my VRS a couple of months ago privately. Its a high-miler ( 30k ) thats had all its work done at Skoda.... I just found a Skoda Assist card which is valid till November this year. I can't find anymore info in the car but suspect that it is just roadside assistance. Question is, can I use this or is it registered toi the person that took the policy out?

Does anybody know for sure?

Have you got a MK1 or MK2 octavia? I would have thought all the MK1 Skoda Assist stuff would have expired a long time ago?

Its a mk1. Quite clearly says valid till 21/nov/2012. I work for Nissan and we give 12months Nissan recovery ( RAC ) with every service, even am £89 servic, which is excellent value for full european cover, with onward travel and home start....

It could still be valid. I've had my car six years now and it's still covered by the Skoda Assist deal as it's a pretty good price for the cover they offer. Mine expires March 2013 unless I renew again.

As for transferring the cover, I'm not sure. If you can carry it over, then the cover is very good. When I had a coilpack issue and a bit later a punctured fuel filter they sorted it all for free and were very thorough. It's RAC that cover things now and TBH the Assist Package is cheaper than the equivalent direct from the RAC, or it was at the time I took it out last year.
