Columbus + RDS problems

Featured Replies

I retro-fitted my columbus into my Octavia back in October and I've had problems in getting it to hold a station ever since.

In all my previous radios, once you'd tuned into an FM station and selected RDS, it would automatically hold the signal so there was no need to retune. However, my Columbus doesn't seem to do this.

I have tried it on 'RDS Automatic' and on 'RDS Fixed' but it doesn't seem to make a difference. There is nothing on the screen to suggest that the RDS is active either.

I guess that I am being a bit thick, but can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Cheers.

might be stupid question but does the Columbus have a permanent live as well as ignition feed.
