easy to loose track.....150, 163, 180,190, 210 and 225bhp(ive probably missed some too :eek: )

just been looking thru some car adverts, audi mostly. noticing that there is now a 163bhp version and more interestingly a 190bhp version. i gather the 163bhp is the 180bhp lowered in spec for emissions.

so the 190bhp audi version in the sportline A4 is this a new spec or is it a tuned down 210bhp?

does anyone know the spec for the 190bhp? intercoolers etc?

I do know there's LOADS of 1.8T engine codes about I think I remember Denis posting up a list of them a while back. Not sure though.

My old man has a A4 Sline 190 bhp.

Its the 180 bhp engine that was phazed out for sometime in the A4 but has twin intercoolers.

The 163 bhp is the same as the 150 iirc.

i think the A4 190bhp has a 6speed box. whats the sline like Lummox?

do you know what turbo it uses?

My dads S-line is really nice, would love one. He's an old git so he went for the Multi tronic CVT gearbox, works really well with the car though, smooth aint the word, little harsh sounding sometimes but lovely on the motorway.

Plus I talked him into getting it in missano red in which i looks stunning.

Easy remap and exhaust to over 250 bhp aswell

IIRC it uses a KO3s turbo, but remember on the A4 its around the other way to an octy.

sounds like good figures after remap. i was told they were hard to remap by someone who had enquired about one at jabbasport

AmD have done loads of them with no problems.

Any pics Lummox, would be nice to see one in Missano. Guy at work has a silver 190 A4 S-Line, looks the business with those 18s. He's got the CVT box too...

He had a 2001 A4 1.8T before that and seems happy with the improvement. I'm guessing that was a 163 spec??
