Anyone Using a JVC AVX640 Double Din?

Featured Replies

As title.

Got an issue with mine whereby it's not memorising the settings, time & demo off when I detach the head unit. I can set the sytsem up and it is OK for remembering what song was last played but it will not remember the display etc. I can recall using the User1 setting option but for some reason I am always getting the start up screen & demo when I first attach the unit.

Any ideas folks please?

Cheers,

Phil.

did you try swapping the yellow and red wires around on the wire loom ?

My mate fitted it. Looked easy enough. Couple of connectors to fit and an aerial booster required.

did the wire swapping work mate ?

Not done it yet pal. Will let you know.

Are you still running original speakers? If so, how are they sounding after the upgrade?

Yes bud. Still on the OEM speakers and sound great IMO. No interference or crackling on high volume.

Sorted. Cheers for the info. Bought an adaptor that has solved the problem.

No bud.

Silly Q but are you taking the key out of the ignition? Mine stays on while the key is in and switched fully off but goes off when the key is out.

When the screens on the cd player is constantly on and I've change the wires over but it just won't work with the ignition

Look for the model i bought. £234 on Amazon fantastic bit of kit for the money

can you add sat nav to this? Does it have bluetooth? Looks like a cracking bit of kit for the money.

I have an octavia VRS 12 plate. Love it. But really annoyed by the lack of Bluetooth. Particulalrly when the mrs just bought a new nissan micra (obviosuly i had no say in this) which has fully integratred satnav, bluetooth streaming, controls on the steering wheel - yet i buy a top end skoda and have none of that.......

Did you look at the other options? I am impressed by the zenec headunit.

But as with all of these - I am not very confident around installing it, is it that difficult?

The next model up (740) IIRC has all that kit. One of my pals fitted it but it looked pretty straight forward. I bought the correct adaptor kits from Halfrauds and they offered some installation advice.

No bud. MK1 Fabia. It's the light switch for my oil temp & boost gauges.

Ahh sweet mate. Would this fit in an Octavia do you know?

If it has space for a double DIN I would assume so bud.
