I feel quite daft asking this BUT does my 1.8 turbo VRS have a EGR valve and can i block/delete????

Yes it does and yes you can.

Search SAI/n112/n249 removal

SAI, n112 and n249 are not EGR valves. The 1.8t doesn't have a conventional EGR valve like the diesels have.

I referenced them because When you remove the SAI you remove and block the EGR off.

Not quite. You remove the SAI combination valve at the back of the engine block. This isn't an EGR valve though. All it is for is to let air from the SAI pump through to the exhaust stream. It has nothing to do with recirculation exhaust gases like an EGR valve does.
