Carbon Wrapped interior bits.

Featured Replies

Following on from Taxi_G great result

I decided to have a go myself with the interior wrapping, as the the roof wrapping I attempted went badly wrong(bring that down to cheap vinyl, and awaiting recipt of better roll).

The hardest part by far was wrapping the dash surround as this really need stretching. Had 2 attempts on this.

Pic of about 50% done

Had to cut the middle to ease the tightness, but not too much else it will tear under pressure.

finnished dash.

I had to do a slight repair on left side, but not really seen as i matched up direction of pattern.

seen here but the light from flash makes it more noticable

when head on you can't see it.

Light cluster switch was not too bad to do.

Passenger side electric window switch panel

A PITA to stretch around the rear part as that is urved where it fit behind the chrome lever, but not a bad job and can't see that bit anyway

Roof lol

yep don't ask.................... :wall:

Came home tuesday last week early got my eldest 2 sons to help. (they were chuffed :giggle: )

Cut satin wrap to size, gave roof a de wax and clean then layered vinyl over roof. Taped it down in the middle. Then pulled back from front of roof to the middle and removed backing. cut it off. Then started laying and then the fun started. After 1 hour must of moved 3" and lots of bubbles. What ever i did heat, stretching nope not to be. After 2 hours got in rage pulled off what I had done then threw in bin.

It was crap wrap. I have just bought anti bubble wrap(a lot dearer but better stuff) well hopefully as it got delievred to wrong house :@

Was hoping to get that done this bank holiday as all roof trim is off and ariel out and interior plast and roof lining hanging down....

Oh no mate :( hope it works next time,

Was going to

Im still looking into wax or gloss treatment that can be used to get some beading lol

Im planning on nipping in to get a sample of my wrap

I messes up mate, i gave them my headlight surround the wrong way lol so weave doesnt match center ..... No biggie compared to trouble you had :(

But still cool :D

Mate.... U mite know??? I cant get the ashtray working smooth and sitting rite again :(

Think you have that sorted now Lloyd right

two things that the ashtray needs.

1. make sure the ashtray door left side is located in the runner to open/close it correctly

2. make sure you turn spring round 1 full turn to make sure it is tight. This is hard as needs a good pair pliers and a flat screwdriver to push down spring whilst holding with pliers. If you don't go 1 full turn the spring will pop off.

It turnt out its the little heart shaped guide, it falls back like a bloody mm to much

I beleve a buytl stopper may solve it

Looks neat. How did you get the electr.window switch out on passenger side?

It does look good!

It is in there tight. I had to place a very small flat screwdriver down one side to allow the switch to press in past the 2 lugs then do same the other side wiggling it from side to side. I then pushed it through from the front. Got my thumb trapped in the hole. That hurt...
