Sounds you've got a problem with the phono leads or the stereo

rcas connected? or damaged?

What have you earthed it

Too?

Lets look at the big picture...

From the battery you have the 12v with an in line fuse

-Is the fuse screwed in properly?

-Has it blown?

-Is it connected to the battery terminal properly?

Once at the back of the car you have either the active sub (inbuilt amp) or you are running it off a stand alone amp

-Is the unit grounded properly?

-Is the amp actually working?

-Have you connected everything properly?

-Is it grounded/earthed properly?

-Are your RCA's connected properly?

-Is the sub wired in properly?

On those amps you have fuses

-Are both fuses intact?

Some head units have the option to turn the SUB off.

-Is it on?

This happened to me recently, never found out what it was. Just disconnected it all, re-connected and it was fine?

If you have power to your amp, assuming it has a protection mode i'll guess its earthed correctly. Did you remove the paint around the earthing point?

Probably damaged RCA's as mentioned above or maybe the inputs to the amp?
