You do realise you could just take it back for a refund and get the (£750ish) you paid for it back?

I rather doubt they'd take it back now as it was bought on the day of launch (before Christmas). We were keeping it for a new member of staff who, when they arrived, had an iPhone, so they don't need it.

Basically, if no-one wants it I'll stick it on eBay on Sunday for a week.

You need to be careful with Appelcare as it runs from the original purchase date of the device not the date you register the Applecare agreement. So an iPhone purchased in Dec 2011 will run out of Applecare in Dec 2013.

OK, I've checked with Apple and the AppleCare agreement starts from the day you activate the phone (connect it to iTunes). So the phone does have a full 12 months AppleCare.
