Might seem like a daft question.

Anyone know if the Audi RS4 rARB will fit on the mk1 octy?

Only ask as my work mate has one spare and has offered to dig it out for me to offer up and check but don't want to waste his time if it's a no-go.

Searching here and on google hasn't found anything so far.

no, doubt it bob, its a different chassis, do you mean mk1 rs4 or newer?

the octy is based on the golf platform, anyway, so doubt without some proper fabrication/modification it would.

so aftermarket is really only way....

whiteline (cheapest) eibach neuspeed and autotech are your best bet!

there are some h&rs for sale (rare set) i think still in the for sale section, though they may be gone, were £200, a BARGAIN imo for what they are.

They are very thick though, so dont buy if you are not using the car properly or don't want too agressive a setup, as they may catch you out if you are not used to an uprated arb setup.

Shame, as I can get a new S4 rARB for about £60.

How's about the R32 rARB? Anyone fitted one of these, or an AudiTT one? I'm pretty sure these are compatible and I'm not too proud to fit a s/h part if it saves me ££££. In the end it's got to be better than what I currently have (I.e nothing!)

[EDIT: scratch that last paragraph- looks like the R32 arb is only compatable on the front. Guess I'm saving for a Whiteline one after all]

I'm not looking to take it to extremes in terms of handling or performance. Just a step upwards from standard.

the r32 wont fit, as its designed for the 4x4 setup, the r32 front fits, and is a great upgrade, its 23mm, and works very well with a 25mm rear arb like the eibach bar to give a very balanced car.

Secondhand all the way my friend, new parts are a con!

scour the 2nd hand ads on the forums, where i got my eibach bar from, don't forget, people list a lot of bits under golf and leon, so when you search, search their forums, not just here.

Anything, is 1000x better than nothing in terms or arb, its a really important mod.
