iPhone Connects2 and Symphony

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying the connects2 kit for iPod/iPhone (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270799345991?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) to connect it to the symphony head unit in my Fabia.

I did debate replacing the head unit entirely, but actually I quite like the OEM look and style of the symphony!

Has anybody got any experiences with this kit? Does it work okay with iPhones (I have the 4) and what level of compatibility do you get? (I.e. Charging, track changing etc.) I was planning on installing it and doing a modification to the ashtray similar to this one (http://audi-diy.blogspot.co.uk/2007/10/audi-a3-itray-for-ipod-mod.html?m=1).
