Anyone fitted an aftermarket armrest?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've had my Greenline II for a week or so now and am missing an armrest quite a lot, I expect fitting a genuine one is a fair amount of work, but there are a few cheapy ones on ebay.

Has anyone fitted one of these with any success?

Cheers

Sounds good, wasn't sure if the handbrake lever had to be changed.

Still, 100 quid is still 2/3x the amount of a dodgy one. Its my company car so am loated to spend any cash on it. I can always take it out I guess if it doesn't take too long to fit.

Thanks

Nah, handbrake just slips through the gap in the sliding bit.

Ahh, company car. I doub't I would spend that much then either. However most of the aftermarket ones require self tapping screws of some sort to secure the base to the existing console, don't think they'd appreciate damage when you come to hand it back?

Once you've done it once and you know where all clips/screws etc are then it'd be a doddle. I'd be confident I could swap them in 15 minutes or so now.

£100? Don't you get "meter parking" on your expenses? ;) ;)

Bummer. :( Used to cover London as a field engineer. The old stick meters never gave receipts ;) ;)
