Just heard the above lyrics in an E4 advert! What on earth is that on about?

Sounds pretty self explanatory?

My 12 year old brother in law seems to know quite a lot

So they are some kind of fictional band thing? It was quite strange anyway. Unfortunately the advert did nothing for me and I have no immediate wish to watch the program.

I was worried until I saw them on tv then listened to the "parodies" on line

I think conceptually; using social media to drive their tv show is quite fresh, however it doesn't excuse them being quite as sheeeet as they are
