LOWERING PROBLEMS HELLLLLLLLLLP

Featured Replies

Right here goes iv fitted lowering springs and shocks, now iv bought adjustable rods that connect from the anti roll bar to the shock absorber.

Heres the problem the pass side fits fine however when fitting the dvrs side even when the rods fully extended it pulls the antiroll bar up so it catches the drive shaft. pics will follow but any ideas the old 1 looks like it fit back on.

thanks for any help or magic

would put some pics up but it keeps failing there only 40kb

photobucket then copy image url into post

I'm guessing you removed both drop links before fitting the first one!

If you did, no problem, but you will need to use a metal bar to lever the 'arm' of the ARB back up so that the thread on the drop link can go through the hole in the ARB.

Will probably need quite a bit of force, but don't worry. I can't see anything wrong.

hi, iv had it conected up the problem is with the shortened rods it pulls the ARB up againts the drive shaft there load room the pass side between the ARB and the drive shaft any ideas im i surpose to use shoerter rods??

It looks like and seems that the body of one drop link is longer than the other quite visibly, so it is possible they are sided and you have the off and nearside the wrong way around!!! measure em they look very different in length.

A quick switcheroo is on the cards

Sorry. Didn't spot that...

What difference do shorted drop links make anyway?

more tension so less roll the bar cant twist anywhere near as far keeping car more level

Stops the drive shaft fouling the antiroll bar
