Hi all,

I have had a unit retrofitted and no longer have radio option in the maxidot and also dont have navigation. What is the exact code that I need to adjust in VCDS, im sure this has been discussed before but I cant seem to find anything of use on the site! The columbus works fine and my bluetooth is also working fine and now also displayed on the columbus.

Thanks for that. Have just tried that procedure and still don't have navigation or radio menus in the maxidot and to make matters worse I now have no output from the speakers I.e. Columbus powers up will play CDs, radio etc but can hear anything from the speakers, also can't make a call via the OE Bluetooth, however if I press the little speaker symbol button on the top right of the unit it will say "The Guidance system is in active" via the speakers... Any advice guys? I'm facing a 2 hour drive this evening with out radio or phone :(

What part number is the columbus you have fitted?

My brother fitted a Superb columbus to his vRS a few years ago, beginning with 3T0 and he had no radio or nav display on the maxidot.

so are we saying here a columbus systerm from a superb does not work in a octavia

It will work, it worked in his car perfectly, but the maxidot would not display any info,

Maybe a newer module would sort it, but in his '06 vRS it wouldn't work

I was writing that post at the same time you were writing yours (look at the times) so I didn't see yours before mine was posted

Thanks for the info lads. Can you be more specific when you say the right coding mike? I have followed the info on vRStu's site and what other posters have said in this thread and still I cant get it to work. I don't have vcds but I use a VAG independent who has done the work for me and I was with him today when he followed the above outlined procedure and it's not working..

Thanks Mike, just tried that and everything working so now have Navi and radio in Maxidot. Most informative post I have found on the net from all the sites vw vortex etc.

Perhaps a mod could post this as a sticky in the ICE section?
