SAI KICKING IN WHEN WARM ?

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondered if anyone has came across this. I have noticed my SAI comes in as normal on cold start up. Turns off then later about 15 mins kicks in when I come to a stop.at a junction or lights for a few seconds then off again. WTF? The car is at temp. So why would this kick in? Faulty lands sensor? As I take it that's where the system gets its feed from?

Mine does this sometimes too

That's normal. Nothing to worry about.

The SAI system basically tests itself to check for problems.

If it annoys you then you can either fix the pump (to reduce the noise), or have the system mapped out to turn it off.

Cheers thanks for that. Puts my mind to rest.

Nice 1 buddy ,my car has been doing this for about 6 weeks . You my man are a legend . You and rob c know just about everything about these cars .

Mine does it too. :-)

Rip it off lol...

You can just pull out the relay if you want to turn the whole system off easily.

You'll get an error light for the relay after a few cycles obviously, but at least you wont get the noise.

I've not actually removed my SAI system. I just pulled the relay, and had the whole system mapped out. So no lights/noise!

I'll either remove or fix the pump when I get the time.
