10K Miles in my V6 Combi

Featured Replies

Today, after 155 days of ownership I have nudged the mileometer over 10,000. This car is an absolute dream to drive and the reason these miles have come round so quickly is that I can't get enough of it. Whereas I used to take the train for some journeys, I now opt to drive due to its effortless power and silky smooth delivery.

MPG to date is 29.485 with best brim->brim of 31.75 and worst 26.25 (when running in).

Value of extras that I ordered with the car:

Sound System Upgrade - Wouldn't be without it

Hill Hold Assist - Brilliant, but should be standard with DSG equipped cars

Panoramic Sunroof - Brilliant - Use it constantly (when not raining)

Variable boot floor - very useful for keeing level load floor and then expanding space

Kessy - very good

Spare Wheel - not used, but nice to know it's there

Auto Dim Rear Mirror - great

Heated front screen and washers - not really used yet

Front Parking Sensors - good to have for such a long car

Also started using voice activation commands on Columbus and finding it very good.

Negatives:

Jury is out on the cream leather, it gets dirty quickly and has creased quickly on the drivers seat qite noticeably.

Cream leather cleaing, easy wear surgical cloting and discard after every trip. It is a very brave person who picks that.

Continue to enjoy.

Well wear OP and continued enjoyment.

I went for the black leather for exactly the reasons you described. My seat has the same creases but less noticeable on the black.

My ivory leather looks as good today as it did when I took it out of the showroom >3 years ago. I chose it because it makes the interior so much lighter and less depressing and - for me - that was a choice well made. Anything lighter will take a little more effort keeping clean, but for me that's worth it. I can't see how the colour can affect the speed of creasing though.

Ray

As Ray says it is only because it looks dirtier more quickly.
