Water in OS head light

Featured Replies

Swmbo has water inside the OS headlight, the whole of the lens is misted up, yet the back inside the engine bay is dry, there are no visible cracks in the lens, are the light easy to remove to dry them out and would a thin line of silicone sealant work if applied around the seal

I have thought about removing the bulbs and using a hair dryer to dry it out ???

Is the rubber grommet slightly loose? As that is the most likely source of moisture if there is no crack in the lens

have you ever had a bump at the front, because mine

as leaked over the past few years after i hit a post ,didnt

crack the headlamp but was constantly damp inside.

tried varouis ways of drying, hairdyer through bulb entances

bags of silica gel, even small drain holes through lens.

gave up and brought a new one off ebay for £119

getting it fitted next week
