Mk1 Fabia Front Speaker Upgrade

My driver's door bass speaker has blown so I am looking to replace them (It was blown when I bought them, honest!). Obviously if I go for OEM I don't have to bother creating a new cradle for them, but what is the merit in upgrading to something like this:

They winked at me because they advertise that they come with the VW connector, presumably that will be the same on the Mk1 Fabia (4 pin, long connector, below), but I'll check with CAS first anyway. Means I don't have to bother doing any wire cutting and adding spay connectors - although the guide in the tech section should make identifying the wires easy enough...

I obviously could order originals through TPS, but does anyone know how much they are? If they are sorta £15-20 each I may as well upgrade to the Pioneers (or similar) and get a performance boost. Would anybody recommend another set? I don't want to spend more than about £50 for the lot. Also, is there an official bracket to buy for mounting? Or is the best solution to do some sort of homemade MDF bracket, thing...
