I have a 57 plate Scout ( Diesel). When I go over a speed bump or rough bit in the road, there is a load Bang from the front passenger side suspension. Bought this car second hand. it has been investigated in the garage but they cannot find any problem.

When I go over speed bumps, normally below 25 MPH, it sounds OK - just the normal suspension creaks, but above 30 the bang is very load and can make the small compartment box on the dash open. This can also be felt on roads that have a slightly sunken drain. ( when I say slightly sunken I mean not a deep cut with sharp edges - only a minor depression). These bumps are not noticed in any other car. Has any body else noticed this issue?

Try another garage, one that can be bothered to take it down the road with you to hear the bang.
