I am new to this so please bear with me! I have a Skoda Octavia, 1999, 1.6SR, and recently it has started jumping/juddering when accelerating. It has also just cut out when stationary. My husband has changed the coil pack, ht leads,spark plugs and air filter. He also put injector fluid in. Sometimes it runs fine and others it does it all the time. It is worse when going from 2nd to 3rd gear although husband says this is irrelevant.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be or what to change please?

Any warning lights??

Try checking for loose connections/connectors and corroded grounds if the fault is intermittent. I used to get this problem on my other halves Polo and that ended up being a corroded through ground.

Sounds like maf to me

Hi. Thanks for your replies. There are no warning lights. After doing research on maf we are going to look at that next. After a coil pack change amongst other electrical things and a fuel plus service yesterday it is still doing it so hoping that it is it.

Tested the voltage on the maf and it went up slightly on revving the engine. Unplugged the maf and it ran better so think we are going to try and get a new one and hope it solves the problem. Hope so as its cost us nearly £200 to try and solve it!
