Am sure that, on old Top Gear Tomorrows World (fairly sure it was Michael Rodd that showed it), something similar had been shown. It cancelled the noise from outside, then you could select an engine noise to come through the speakers. So a Ferrari V12, a Jag V8 etc etc.

Seem to recall TW also showed ISOFix, about 15 years before anyone bothered to fit it.

Wonder if they can now develop SW to prevent folks slamming car doors. Then extend it to house doors. Every time next door go out and get in car ,it's like living on a battlefield - boom ,goes front door, and building shakes. Then it's boom again as the car door shuts.
