Air intake probs

Featured Replies

My mk2 vrs has a slight judder only noticeable when idling. Can only think its the air intake has ive just unplugged the maf sensor and no management light came on and the car never changed its tone. When i opened the bonnet I saw that the intake that is at the front of the car has an open way leading back to the engine bay which I think is not supposed to be open. Grateful for any help.

the rear of the intake is standard I think would guess it's to allow most water to pass thro' I'm sure I'll be corrected if not----is the judder the flywheel, does it dissapppear if you increase the revs? slightly

Has the battery ever being off , if so the throttle body will need realigning

The intake is supposed to be like that to let water and excess air out. Is the judder an occasional puttt sound or worse?
