My much enjoyed Fabia VRS – unfortunately there is only parking space for one.

My black 53 plate Fabia VRS has been driven daily for the last 5 years and barring replacing the usual wear and tear items, it has behaved incredibly well.

Mild map of 165bhp/295lbf

Oil changed at 7K maximum

New Garret turbo at 94K

Clutch/cylinders replaced at 120K

Timing Belt/water pump replaced at 165K

Rear callipers reconditioned October 11

SfS silicone hoses as well as custom fit mounts and silicone piping to lower end of turbo.

Eibachs

Brembo discs

Sony Radio/CD

Standard alloys in decent nick

Still get 65mpg+ on a run

Still runs a treat

Fully valeted inside and out (though rain will change outer shine!)

Taxed to end of December

MOT to early December

(currently on a private plate that will be changed – or buy if you like)

Bad points: some scuffs and scratches to paintwork (seen close up)

A couple of very small ‘car park dings’

2 x 1p sized rust dots (boot edge and lower wheel arch) – hard to see and haven’t changed size in 5 years.

Rear spoiler flakeage

Worn edge of driver’s seat bolster.

As I said, I have really enjoyed this car – so much so, I have bought another and need the parking space.

New one is more of a stallion - neighs wildly and raiser front legs - (particularly over 3K rpm....) than the old one - but was very fond of the old one - kids hugged the bonnet this morning before she went off to Ireland!

The new 'Shona' is enjoying her new life here and is being pampered with Meguiar's and V Power - sexy new boot liner too - she really is living the life!.

Glad to hear Lashonda is enjoying her new life - I must admit I became very attached to her in a short time, still miss her a bit now.

I am managing to tame the beast !! really beginning to enjoy F.A.B. now - it certainly gets lots of attention and those who have been in her have a permanent grin on their face, including myself.
