Water in the driver side footwell

Featured Replies

Skoda superb 1.9 tdi, 05 plate and 140 k on the clock.

Notice the windows steam up and checked the drivers side and it was all wet, passenger side was fine. Any ideas what it can be

The car has been parked up for a couple of days and it's tilted towards the drivers side. I think it's something to do with where the battery is, can see some water sitting there

Check the bonnet release cable grommet (where it goes through the bulk head).

If your car has a sunroof ,try pinching the rubber tubes that exits near your door hinges these are your sunroof water exit channels. The other issue superbs suffer with is your plenum chamber located under your battery getting blocked with debris leaves etc try cleaning this out also.

I've had this problem over the last couple of days......my drive slopes down and to the right.

Underneath the brake servo is a rubber bung that on mine was blocked solid with leaves and gunk....you'll need to remove battery as per the water ingress thread then put your hand under the servo and push the crap out.

Looking under the servo with my borescope i can see the cutout in the bulkhead for the brake rod is about 45mm from the plenum bottom and with the car on a sideways slant it won't take much water to overflow into the car if this bung is blocked especially if the bung's on the passenger side are blocked as mine were.

and while your in there you can do the pollon filter leak as well!!

Enjoy

Also check the bottom of the doorcards; I had a little coming in via the inner door panel seals.
